World Wildlife Day was commemorated on the 3rd of March in the year 2025 at the Stay Easy Hotel located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority, along with its associated partners, convened to deliberate on critical issues pertaining to the mitigation of conservation challenges in Ethiopia. A presentation was delivered by members of the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Think Tank. Ato Yilma Dellelegn, a pioneer Ethiopian ornithologist, elucidated Ethiopia’s six-decade trajectory in the realm of conservation. Additionally, a presentation was conducted by Dr. Simeneh Admasu, also a member of the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Think Tank, who provided insights regarding the financing mechanisms for Ethiopia’s Wildlife Economy. Later, a panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Mekbeb Tessema, CEO of the Think Tank.
